Generator Supercenter is factory trained and authorized to install your new generator. We offer a turn key solution's for installing your unit. The installation process starts with prepping the area where the generator will be located. A concrete slab will then be poured to meet manufactures specifications including stub ups for all electrical connections. Once your concrete has cured, we are now ready for the generator to be put in place. This method can very depending on the size generator that you are purchasing. An off-road forklift is needed in most cases. Once the generator is in place, we will bolt the unit to the concrete slab. When the generator is in place, it is now time for electrical and plumbing. Our electrician will dig a trench to run all electrical underground. The transfer switch will then be mounted on the wall and all conduits will be connected together. All electrical wires will be pulled through the conduit. At this time we will cut off all electric to your home or business. Electric will be off for about an hour. Once all electric connections are made, we will restore power to the facility. The plumber will then take it from there. We will dig a trench from the generator to the fuel source. Once the trench has been dug the plumbing will be ran. All plumbing will meet or exceed manufactures specifications. We will "tap" into the fuel source of your choice. (See Fuel Sources for more information) All connections will be made at the generator and proper gas pressure will be set using a regulator. At this point we will need to hook up the battery. Once this is done, we are ready to start the generator. We will perform a "start up" on your unit. A start up consists of making sure the engine is running at its peek performance and testing for proper voltage and frequency. (Only a qualified technician should attempt this) When your unit is running properly, we are ready to transfer load to the generator. This will be done in small increments. As a load is applied, we will continue to monitor the voltage and frequency as well as watch the amps that your home or business is pulling. (we never want to overload the generator) Once the "start up" has been finished, all warranty paperwork will be filled out and sent to Generac/Guardian. |
